700 Club’s Pat Robertson Back Pedals Stating “Get Your Affair With Your Wife In Order.”

Pat Robertson Back Pedals By Stating “Get Your Affair With Your Wife In Order.”

We should have known he’d get on his bike and back pedal his comments about leaving your wife if she has Alzheimer’s. This is exactly what he did and he surely took his time addressing it. But was it even worth it since now he’s saying:

“Basically I’m saying, adultery is not a good thing and you might as well straighten your life out and the only way to do it is to kind of get your affair with your wife in order.”

“Get your affair with your wife in order?” He still refuses to address the affair as being totally wrong.

Then he back pedals a bit faster by saying:

“I was not giving advice to the whole world and nor was I counseling anybody to be unscriptural and leave their spouse.”

But now he honors his wife and their commitment partly because he’s been put on ‘non spiritual and non biblical’ blast!

“Please know that I believe the Bible. Please know that I never would tell anybody to leave their sick spouse. I never never would say such a thing because I need my spouse when I get sick and she needs me when she gets sick.” He continued “In sickness and in health, I believe it!”

Wow. It seems as though Pat Robertson may need to retire. If he can not get his words together, he doesn’t want to end up like Harold camping and lead folks down a blind road to hell.
