The Twisted Doctrine of Prophet Todd Hall

Usually, we do not pay attention to what this particular preacher has to say, because he does not seem to give us the impression that he is preaching to win souls, but just for recognition.   So, this Sunday, we happened to hear him preach at Dr. Jamal Bryant’s church, Empowerment Temple and he allegedly made an odd statement about David’s dancing, which is revealed in 2 Samuel 6:14.    The same excuse gospel singers Mary Mary uses to be like the world. We were shocked that he stated the same thing that has nothing to do with being holy.

He and Mary Mary reveals the particular scripture about David dancing, but fail to include the scripture that told each and every last one of us who is supposed to be children of God this very commandment: “Be ye holy, for I am holy (I Peter 1:16).”

Prophet Todd Hall is most popular, because he seems to have a traditional style of preaching and causes much laughing among the pews with his jokes.   However, by these very twisted words, it reveals he is not preaching according to the tradition of the gospel of Jesus Christ: “you shout with your mouth, you don’t shout with your feet.  You dance with your feet as the Bible says; and David danced, you know choreographer…”    First and foremost, we fear for the black church, because even after the death of the late Dr. Zachery Tims, they are yet trying.

Matthew 23:23-33. Please read the entire scriptures before judging or casting your pearls among swine. ” Woe Be it unto you teachers” ( means Pastors, Ministers, Gospel Artist, and Pharisees alike) whether you like God’s word or not it DOES NOT CHANGE.

You Hypocrites, you give a tenth, of your spices,- But you have NEGLECTED the more important matters of the law- Justice, Mercy, FAITHFULNESS, You should have practiced the latter without neglecting the former,You blind guides!, You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel.

Woe be it unto teachers of the law and pharisees, You Hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. Blind Pharisee! first Clean the inside of the cup and dish then the outside will be clean. ( First, Clean Up all the junk and mess in your own life, before you go messing up someone elses.)

There is a Word from The Lord here, I pray that all would search within themselves and honestly apply it. How ever much God loves us, (we) those who know His word, will still pay for the sin of leading HIS sheep astray.

    God Bless.

Can you print the entire statement that was made with capital letters at the beginning and then full sentences with periods at the end(no dots ‘…’).

Gloria, thanks for letting us know. Actually, he stopped at that point and went on to something else which was strange. So the writer took what was said. Hope that helps.

Yes, God’s Stewart. You have said it all and many of them need to hear this.

  5. I totally understand what this is saying, but I believe personally that we should not judge the way that others praise or shout to God. And I believe that people have misunderstood shouting, it is not all done in the holy spirit, sometimes it is a way that one shows with the body that they are happy and dedicate a dance to God, I could go on and on about this, but let me skip to the fact that not every black church says exactly “shout” They say “dance” and even if they say shout it is well understood as “dancing” They aren’t trying to hide anything I think it’s just how they refer to it. Now personally I believe that all things were created for God’s glory but some have taken them and made them worldly things, so perhaps it’s not bringing the world into the church but bringing Godly things into the world and abusing what was made for his glory. However, if you are doing something for God, I don’t see why anyone should have anything to say about it whether it be dancing, or praying, paying offering and whatnot. Now I will leave you with these two thoughts…

None of us here today are sure exactly how David danced, but we do know that scripture tells us he danced enough to the point where his clothes off and was only left in his ephod. I can imagine here that he danced because he was happy to see the Arc return or perhaps he was offering a dance to God to show appreciation and praise.

Also here are some other scriptures that speak of dancing and let us know there was a such thing in scripture times 2 Samuel 6:14 ,Ecclesiastes 3:4, Psalm 150:4

There are a plenty more posted on this website…

I hope that this only opened minds to what dancing or shouting is and welcome any questions, this is not meant to be rude to anyone only to help us understand each other better in the body of Christ.

Very interesting to actually read someone state not all dancing to the Lord should be in the Spirit. God bless you and thanks for your opinion.

The African American church will not suffer from this awesome man of God speaking the truth they will perish for lack of knowledge. If you have ever heard this man speak he breaks down scripture in a theological form so one must have taken theology or have divine interpretation from God or be well versed and have studied the word of God on their own to see that what he is offering is the word of God! The point used to illustrate that he is preaching false doctrine is incomplete and therefore in this case whomever stumbles across this article must use discernment. But we must also be careful about the words we speak about the women and men God has called and chosen the Bible warns touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm… it also says no weapon formed against thee shall prosper and every tongue that shall rise against thee though shall condemn… be careful how you speak about the prophet you don’t want to curse yourself or your generation to come after you he is not popular because of jokes! He is blessed and walks in his anointing and God has called him for such a time as this!
    God Bless
