700 Club’s Pat Robertson Says Divorce is Okay If Spouse Has Alzheimer’s
When we hear these kind of things, we continue to stress the point that testing the spirits of pastors and the like, needs to be taken seriously.
Pat Robertson has been called on the carpet for a few statements he’s made in the past and they too were not of  sound doctrine just as this issue.
What ever happened to ’til death do us part’- even if death may come soon?

During a recent show on the 700 Club, Robertson was asked what advice a man should give to a friend who began seeing another woman after his wife started suffering from the incurable neurological disorder.
“I know it sounds cruel, but if he’s going to do something, he should divorce her and start all over again, but make sure she has custodial care and somebody looking after her,” Robertson said.
The chairman of the Christian Broadcasting Network, which airs the “700 Club,” said he wouldn’t “put a guilt trip” on anyone who divorces a spouse who suffers from the illness, but added, “Get some ethicist besides me to give you the answer.”

Robertson’s co-host, asked him about couples’ marriage vows to take care of each other “for better or for worse” and “in sickness and in health.”

“If you respect that vow, you say ’til death do us part,'” Robertson said during the Tuesday broadcast. “This is a kind of death.” [Source]
Bro. Pat Robertson is in error and so is CBN’s response. It looks like the 700 Club and CBN’s beliefs  need to be a addressed before people continue to support their ministry. We would pray that Robertson does not fall ill and his wife not be there for him. Now, that would be cruel!
Watch the clip below where he agrees with the viewer who has actually already started dating someone else. Why did he not address the infidelity issue?
