AT2W Video Archives: Why Bishop Long’s Members Will Not Leave

We were looking back on some articles we did back when the Bishop Long’s sexual misconduct allegations had just been exposed. A reader gave us videotapes of Bishop Long’s  “The Desert” series of sermons from 2001. We took the important clips out that the reader, whom was a long time member of New Birth, told us about and made a fun video exposing his indiscretions.

We probably would not do things quite like this anymore but here’s the video proof of Bishop Long with a young man holding onto him in church. This was videotaped at the former New Birth Church location on Snapfinger Road in Decatur, Ga.

When we look at it now, it explains why current New Birth Church members will not or choose not to leave. It appears that even back in 2001, Bishop Eddie Long had already shown his congregation who they were submitting to.

Oh, BTW, this is back when Bishop Eddie Long did not have muscles!
