First Lady Bertha Y. Wright, Assistant Pastor of Mount Vernon AOH Church of God Arrested

First Lady Bertha Y. Wright, Assistant Pastor of Mount Vernon AOH Church of God Arrested

Rev. Bertha Y. Wright pleaded not guilty today on charges of passing fake prescriptions at a pharmacy in Century, Florida. Wright who is the first lady and co-pastor at Mount Vernon AOH Church of God located in Mount Vernon, Alabama.   Allegedly, her husband, Pastor Levon Wright did not tell parishioners his wife was arrested earlier this month on March 5.

Minister Bertha Y. Wright faces up to 16 charges, 11 counts of possessing a controlled substance without a prescription, three counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud, one count of trafficking in hydrocodone and one count of possession of a blank prescription.

The National Bishop of the AOH Church will meet with the congregation tonight at 7:00 to discuss her future as their co-pastor. Some members say they will leave the church if Wright remains as co-pastor.

Some church members say they are hurt, because there pastor did not admit their first lady had been arrested as though he was hiding the news from them.  She was released on $35,000 bond.

The AOH church stands for Apostolic Original Holy, so this is a Pentecostal denomination, full gospel.   The Apostolic denomination has a history of upholding a holy foundation similar to COGIC, the only difference is, allegedly, they do not believe in the Trinity, the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.

Down South, we assume the Apostolic church still has some strict rules and regulations, although there has been some falling away, certain music artists who grew up Apostolic have joined the masses in idolizing and combining hip  hop music with gospel, which is unholy.

Possibly, Pastor Levon Wright thought his wife getting arrested was he and his wife’s personal business, but obviously not, because her drug habit and arrest with the law has caused a debate among church members.   Most of all, it matters what God says and of course, He does not approve of any man or woman of God representing Him as a drug attic.  Perhaps, it would be wise for her to sign up for a rehabilitation program, but that will not be enough, because Rev. Wright maybe demon possessed and this is when it is necessary for the church to come together to help cast the demons out.   You see, for so many years, pastors and church elders thought it was only church members were the only ones who were demon possessed, but not so, it never was true, it was also the church leaders themselves.   This is how demons traveled into people who attended church for many years, pastors who never gotten their own demons cast out would easily transfer those same demons into the souls of people they prayed for.   So yes, maybe it would be wise for Rev. Wright to give up her position, but she needs to seriously receive prayer before stepping down.  Also, Pastor Levon should receive counseling, because obviously, there were troubles in his marriage, if he did not seek prayer and advice from prayer warriors before his wife, Rev. Bertha Wright got in trouble with the law.  Possibly, he is on drugs himself, but he was not the one to get caught, which would mean they both need to be delivered from demonic possession of using drugs.

A2TW is praying for Pastor Levon and his wife, Rev. Bertha Y. Wright that they both would allow God to lead and guide them.   We pray for Rev. Wright’s deliverance and when she is set free, she may return to the ministry and give a testimony of deliverance.
