Sunday Best’s Le’Andria Johnson Seeks Prayer After Backsliding

One of our journalists stumbled upon a video of BET’s Sunday Best’s winner Le’Andria Johnson. Le’Andria made it to the final two of “Sunday Best,” the gospel-singing contest on BET in June of 2010 and won! We are not fans of  BET’s ‘Sunday Best’ because most of the judges are supporters or are hip hop gospel artists but this, we found to be interesting to speak on from her testimony.

Well, we found a video of her at a church concert and she admitted even after winning on the show, she has backslid into her old ways, so she says. What we found to be very moving about this young lady was that she wasn’t afraid to tell it to the world, so to speak. Many times we are ashamed of what we fall back into because we surely do not want to be judged and especially by the church.

Though the church can be chronically known for condemning people where they sometimes see no more hope, we want to commend Le’Andria for coming out though regardless of what others may say about her. Furthermore, we don’t agree with everything the woman after Le’Andria said that appeared judging and condemning, but we are praying that Le’Andria knows for herself what God can do. We don’t know what she’s been through but we will pray for her and that God will lift her up and keep her in His arms.
