Dr. Boyce Watkins and Others Seem To Worship Will Smith Family
We found some of the reactions to what best selling author Terri McMillan had to say about Will and Jada Smith’s children, Willow and Jaden Smith. Ms. McMillan made some remarks this week on her Twitter page that she felt “The Smith children, Willow and Jaden were in so many words “being thrown” in the the entertainment business by their parents, Will and Jada.
We know many people love the Smith family and we can understand that because they present themselves as this all American family that appear to be so perfect. So we understand why many people truly look up to them, but humor us for a bit and see what we reveal.
Terri McMillan stated:
“The Smith children already act like child stars. There’s an arrogance in their demeanor and behavior. I find it incredibly sad,” McMillan said on the popular social networking platform on Jan.27. “It feels like the Smith children are being pimped and exploited. Or, they’re already hungry for fame. What about 4th grade?
“A lot of A-list movie stars shielded their children from the Hollywood-world until they were old enough to decide. Look at those who didn’t. Look at Lindsay. Phoenix to name, but a few. They miss out on childhood. It’s more important than fame.”
We have to agree with her because we felt the same way. We have always found it very strange that they would just sort of push their children into the lime light when kids need to be in school learning and trying to live as normal of a life as they can considering the parents they happen to have. Willow Smith already spoke publicly that she is behind in her studies and doesn’t get time even get time to be tutored while on the road.
We didn’t use Terry’s words but she talks like us because we just might have because when most parents would rather keep their children sheltered from the ugliness to come in the business, Will and Jada seem all too willing to get their children out there.
What was really shocking to read was some of the commentary out there that defends Will Smith and his wife. Now of course they can do what they please with their family but under what circumstances? There was one commentator mentioned above that we really did not understand his logic in defending the Smith Family. He has addressed the matter in such an uncouth manner that we did not know he actually wrote the article. Usually he approaches news and issues in a respective and intelligent manner but I guess his love for the Will Smith family showed some true colors.
Here read part of the article titled “Terry McMillan Needs To Slow Her Roll When Attacking Will Smith’s Kids” and see how he gets loose.
Dr. Boyce Watkins stated:
“Terry McMillan slip to an all-time low by attacking the children of Hollywood power couple Will and Jada Smith…Terry McMillan needs to just “sit down… Her words are way off the mark … she needs to be careful about insulting someone else’s children in public…I can’t imagine Will and Jada having to “pimp” their kids in order to make ends meet…The bottom line is that Terry McMillan has no business publicly attacking another couple’s children… Terry McMillan should be ashamed.”
We think Dr. Boyce Watkins sounded pretty much like a worshiper of Will and Jada Smith. Maybe they pay him something to write what he writes , we don’t know. It appears as though he defends them tooth and nail and can’t see why Terry McMillan would say what she did. Its apparent that though Terry has apologized for saying “exploited and pimp” words about the family, she has a lot of validity to her statement. She is stating what some people and probably more than we know think about their kids getting into the business so young. We don’t think Will and Jada are pimping them for money but there’s something bigger at hand.
People all over the internet and on Twitter were talking about it and some of the remarks were surprising to say the least. Though many people can see them as role models and ‘good people’, there are some things that seem to stick out with them and their kids seemingly coming up in the fast lane of Hollywood life and the sparkle and fade of it all.
Firstly, remember that Will and Jada Smith are members of the Church of Scientology which is:
“Scientology is a body of beliefs and related practices created by L. Ron Hubbard… Scientology teaches that people are immortal beings… that souls (“thetans”) reincarnate and have lived on other planets before living on Earth.” -Wikipedia. Sounds like some weird stuff they call ‘religion’.
Secondly, did people forget this known fact about them: It is very known that Will and Jada Smith have an open marriage and engage in swingers activities. They have admitted it in the public. Certainly, this is not good example of true committed and loving parents with young impressionable children like Willow and Jaden Smith. So you could imagine what type of things their children have seen at one time or another. We all know children are smarter than we think and they probably have some idea of their parents extracurricular activities.
Thirdly, little Willow Smith is now under contract with rapper Jay-Z’s record company. If you didn’t know, Will Smith pushed this along and Jay-Z was thrilled to be able to work with one of “The Smith Family’s” kids. But this is the worst part of all. Most people have heard of and know that Jay-Z and others in the hip hop and entertainment industry are Satan worshipers. They are a part of the Illuminati in which they sold their souls to receive top levels of fortune and fame.
There’s alot more to this than most people know. But our point is this: what type of spirits will enter the mind of little Willow Smith? It’s a same that her parents can’t or won’t believe what devastating road they are taking their kids down; instead they are rubbing noses with the rich and famous at any cost at the expense of their children’s childhood. Sometimes a kid just needs to be a kid.
We did find one commentator that did look a little deeper into what McMillan was trying to convey to over at MissJia.com, we wish there were more we could find.
We think that some people and commentators that go all out of the way to defend two people like Will and Jada, who mostly like are not paying their bills, should look deeper into why people say things in the tone that they do. Sure Terry McMillan could have chose better words in describing her feelings about them but just because Will and Jada seemed to be loved so much does not mean they can do no wrong. Just refer back to our first, second and third points if you don’t see it yet.
