BET.com hosted the show that aired on BET Network Sunday night “Black Girls Rock!”. The awards and performances received great reviews and stellar applause. Many were amazed at all of the shades of Black coming together as women and sharing this world they call their own.
As the “all girl” band played the instruments in the background, it gave this a real “All girl” day event.
One performance stuck out the most. The song is “4 Women”: It included Kelly Price singing (My Skin is Black); Jill Scott (My skin is Tan); Marsha Ambrosius (My Skin is Yellow) and last but not least Ledisi singing (My Skin is Brown).
Then you have Fantasia Singing “A Brand New Day” as she is joined by Kelly Price, Ledisi, and Marsha Ambrosius with “I’m Every Women”.
