NRP analyst Juan Williams was fired today for remarks he made about Muslims on Bill O’Reilly’s Fox News show “The O’Reilly Factor” this Monday. He told O’Reilly that he gets “nervous” on the airplane with Muslims. But we found out that he was on the brink of being fired from other issues with NPR.
Williams has run into other issues with NPR in the past when in 2009 that asked him to stop calling himself a “senior correspondent for NPR” on “The O’Reilly Factor”. Also, an ombudswoman for NPR, Alicia C. Shepard labelled Williams as a ”lightning rod”. She said this because he ”tends to speak one way on NPR and another on Fox.” She added that NPR has received nearly 400 emails from listener complaints about Mr. Williams.
If you remember Bill O’Reilly was on “The View” this month and voiced his views that he blamed muslims for the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks and two the the hosts walked off the set to protest his comments. Well, Williams stated that he agreed with O’Reilly’s comments and stated on his show that:
“jihad, aided and abetted by some Muslim nations, is the biggest threat on the planet….Look, Bill, I’m not a bigot. You know the kind of books I’ve written about the civil rights movement in this country. But when I get on the plane, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they are identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous.”
On Wednesday, NPR gave a statement that Juan Williams’ contract has ended. The statement on their website was:
“His remarks on ‘The O’Reilly Factor’ this past Monday were inconsistent with our editorial standards and practices, and undermined his credibility as a news analyst with NPR.”
Juan Williams is a conservative and its no surprise what he stated. How dare he speak on Muslims like he did and African Americans are judged and labelled all of the time. Oh, I guess he’s not really black??!
Well, Juan Williams will join the ranks with former CNN anchor Rick Sanchez for his remarks about Jon Stewart and jews. Guess these anchorman don’t realize that they are not invincible and maybe they should have taken their jobs more seriously because obviously it wasn’t recession proof.

Good for NPR, Juan Williams slant belongs to “Fake News” with the rest of the failed political candidstes Palin, Huckabee, or should I say the 2012 GOP Presidential contenders. They are not racist they are just the good old boys. They are the bunch that keep tellin us to be scared of BLACKS, scared of ASIANS, sacred of LATINOS, scared of WOMEN, scared of GAYS and now its be scared of Muslims. So long Johnny, don’t let the door hit you. I love that you went crying to “Fake News” and played the victim card, I guess its another “it is a high-tech lynching”.
