NBA star Earl Watson had decided to file papers for divorce on his wife actress Jennifer Freeman for domestic violence the night of August 1 but now has recanted his decision to divorce his wife.

Indiana Pacers player Watson says that on the night in question, “My Wife and Kids” actress Jennifer Freeman, 24, attacked him in the the face several times after he read a text message she received around 11pm. Watson, 31, says she became violent and open handedly slap him harshly. He continues to state that she then bit down on his wrist and chest leaving teeth marks, a scar and blood injury.

Though, Watson had initially filed for divorce in which he has a 10 month old daughter with Freeman, his spokesperson has reportedly stated that he is withdrawing from the divorce as of Thursday. Furthermore, Watson “plans to make their marriage work.”
