I totally agree….as a middle-aged Black woman who has never been married, I fully concur with the thoughts conveyed in this article – there has been certain show content that Michael Baisden conducts that leave me feeling so small and unworthy. He regularly touts his desire to not be married – his perogative, sure. There are MANY Black men who share his sentiment, more now than ever before it seems. How could one blame Black women for not being married when MANY Black men just want to be bachelors forever. I can’t stand the transfer of blame onto us that he and so Black men do. We can’t win….and it’s sad.

  3. Hi Robyn. Thanks for reading our blog. You are very strong to agree with us and share your personal circumstance. However, do not allow Michael Baisden or any other black man cause you to feel small and unworthy, because really they are the ones who feel that way and that is why they are so focused on what black women are doing. Furthermore, in addition to problematic black men, we have also discovered some black females have a bad habit of judging others who have never married like themselves and that is what really causes such division within the black community.

Please stay strong, keep praying and stay close to God. Do not pay attention to ignorance, but know God has never left the black woman, but wants her closer to Him. God bless and keep reading AT2W.
