A Toast 2 Wealth

Here we are, in another decade, 2010, and it is very scary to admit, a lot of African Americans are keeping the same frame of mind, thinking that they cannot achieve anything or not smart enough, because of their racial identity.  Many African Americans will miss out on success, simply because they fail to envision themselves as successul human beings who are capable to expand multi-million dollar or billion dollar ventures.  They sky is the limit, but-because, African Americans listen to negativity of the average African American, they limit themselves and damage their potential future of ultimate success and absolute wealth.

These following seven steps are extremely basic principles for you to follow not only this following decade, but for many years to come.  You must be willing to leave your past behind and never look back.  Your life is valuable, it is special and what makes you feel you are not special and unworthy of success if when you have given into the average mindset of black America, “I’m black”, “I’m too dark”, “I was born in the wrong neighborhood”, “my parents are in jail or on drugs…”, the list goes on and on of many excuses of why you cannot become a successful person.

If you want to buy that house, no matter how bad the recession seems, you can do it.  If you desire to enjoy all the finer things in life and not work for anyone else, you can do it.  If you want to provide jobs for other people, your life is in your hands, you can do it, all it takes is faith and massive action.  There is no more room in your life for excuses.  Your life was not given to you be mankind, who lives his or her life based on the economy, but your life was given to you to succeed and live to the fullest, healthy and prosperous for many years to come.   If you believe that, then you will go along way, but one of the reasons why you learn the tools of success and never prosper, is simply because you most likely are a follower within the black community, if you are a born leader, you will do everything possible to seperate yourself from negative minded people, whether they be your family, friends or co-workers.  Note: Do not read these 7 steps, if you are going to remain a follower, it is a waste of time.

1. First, let go of the past.  Many African Americans think that leaving the past behind means still allowing the same toxic people in their lives and that is forgiveness, it is not.  Forgiveness is when you refuse to hold resentment in your heart toward anyone who has offended you, but it does not mean you must proceed to be in the accompany of those same people.  How can you leave the past behind, when you look at the past each and every day of your life?  You never will forget how people mistreat you, if you are around them, all of the time.  Most of the time, depending on what the painful situation was, you must be nice, but not include them in your life, in order to move on.  However, when you desire to forgive yourself, it is impossible to move on, because you constantly look at yourself in the mirror, and wonder, “how could I have done that sin,” or “I made a foolish mistake and not just embarassed myself, but the person closest to me.”  No matter how bad you think the past mistaken circumstance was, you must forgive yourself and love yourself more than anyone else.  It does not matter who knows what you did.  People do not want to allow you to leave your past behind, but again, you not only must get rid of them, you have got to do something to remind yourself, “God did not make me trash, no matter how trashy I may have acted.” Because your past is dead, although certain people who remind you of your past are yet alive, in a way, you have to think of them as dead and you must live on and enjoy your life.
2. Find something you enjoy doing, something you never thought you could or something someone told you, you could not do.   Many African Americans think they are failure, because a teacher, professor, coach, parent or even pastor humiliated them as if they were stupid.  Remember, God only create smart creatures and even animals have a mind.  You are not stupid and neither are you crazy.  You are one of the most intelligent jewels within society.   Do you know why?   Because no one has your DNA, no one can be you, but you.  So it does not matter if you are 40 or over, if you always wanted to become a superstar and a dynamic swimmer, you can do it.
3. Keep your mind elevated with positive materials and you will mold your character to become great.  One of the greatest failures within the black community are those who refuse to listen to advice from people who are successful, because of envy.  Do not be envious of success mentors, because some day, you will have what they have or possibly even more.  Success mentors are your ticket out of the ghetto into the finest neighborhoods, you never thought you could reside in.  Just because someone else may have something bad to say about a success mentor, do not listen to them, if they are helping you, continue to listen and follow their advice.  A success mentor can be a person like Tony Robbins, a good friend of any race or reading articles or books about people who have something in common with you, who may be African American and made it out of a ghetto environment into a nice suburban community.  Do this on a daily basis, and you will stay programmed to become a successful individual.
4. Acknowledge you must remain healthy, in order to enjoy your wealth.  Of course, when you are financially struggling, it is hard to afford to eat right, but the money you spend on McDonald’s or any other fast or even soul food could be put into fruits and vegetables and non-greasy foods.   Fruits and vegetables and even contain your vitamins, minerals and proteins you need in order to make good decisions. Many people who do not eat right are less successful, because simply their minds cannot function without eating right.  Therefore, when you start your day, eat oatmeal or a whole grain cereal.  Whatever you do, do not skip breakfast, because each and every one of us, functions better when we include breakfast on a daily basis.  It is just like putting gas in your car, you cannot drive it unless, you keep gas in the tank.  Right? It is the same with our bodies.
   
5. Always pray.  You must believe in a superior being, God.   Many African Americans always focus on race, because they think white people must be God, if they have more.  Wrong. In order to make it within this world, you have got to believe in a higher power than yourself.  You cannot make your life better without depending on Him.  You must believe God exist and never doubt it, no matter what circumstance or predicament you are facing.  Realize God created man and woman of all races and racial thoughts of mankind has nothing to do with Him.  Even before we were born, it was God’s plan to create us.
   
6. Encourage yourself, no matter how difficult it is to make your dreams come true.  Many African Americans are very intelligent, but the reason why there is failure, because they stop.  Whatever you start, you must finish.  Do not allow the lack of finance diminish your dreams of success.   Even in this recession, if you can imagine you can become a competitor of Wal-Mart, you can do so.  All it takes is faith in God, yourself and determination to make it happen, it does not matter how long it takes, your dreams can become a reality, if you stay with it.
7. Do research on any vision you plan to become successful with.   If you work a 9 to 5 job and overtime, spend at least a couple of hours a day to evaluate the potential of the birth of your successful empire.  Whenever you lack time toward your successful venture, then it seems as if your dream of success is fading, you must stay dedicated to making your dreams come true.  It must be pampered like a baby, always pay attention to your dream as if you gave birth to it.

As an African American, remember everything negative before 2010 is dead and if you want a change in your life for the following decade and many years to come, you must take the necessary steps to make it happen.  You are born a successful individual, but many people who do not except that fact, because society has told them their potential is based on race maybe toxic to be in your life.   Do whatever is necessary, clean up your life and clean out the people in it and be one of the most successful people God created you to be.
