Why in the …is there controversy over Dr. Martin Luther King’s holiday?  In the 21st century, forty years later there are people who are opposed to Martin Luther King Day, read this here.  Can you believe that mess?   After all this country has been through with racism? It took one man who was blessed with a dream to unite black and white Americans so we can live in peace and people are complaining that he was not a President, so there should be no federal holiday for this great civil right’s leader.  Believe it or not,  there are some people who dispute the federal holiday, obviously we are still living in a racist society.  Although, there is more diversity than ever, America is still a racist country, because when you here people disputing Dr. King’s holiday, whether or not black history should be taught in schools, ire when there is much respect given to late civil right’s activists and not to mention such hostile reaction toward President Barack Obama being the leader over the United States of America, it seems as though all Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. did for this country and although his dream somewhat came true, there is still much hatred against African Americans.
