How to Avoid Catching The Flu This Holiday Season

People are traveling all across the country and abroad while taking extra precautions on their flight while protecting themselves from germs that may even give them the swine flu, because many travelers who are sick will travel regardless of putting others at health risk.  Whether you are on a plane, bus or train, you must learn how to avoid catching the flu this season or any other season.  It is possible to get into a good habit of protecting  yourself from catching a worse cold and teaching others how to also do the same.

Another way to avoid catching the flu this season, is to stay warm.  Many people do not believe in dressing in warm clothing and when they wear summer clothes in the winter, they do not realize they are more at risk to catching the flu.  Always dress warm in cold weather, so your anatomy will not be overwhelmed with cold.  If you notice, whenever we catch colds and take cold medicine, we cough and sneeze as cold comes out of our body, this is because cold got within our bodies, which does not belong there.

Drink a lot of hot beverages, especially green tea.  Hot substances are necessary to avoid cold within our bodies.  When you drink hot tea, choose one that is good for you.  Green tea lowers cholesterol, levels, lowers blood pressure and hypertension and is very good for weight loss.  Green tea is also prevents heart disease and a stroke.  If you suffer from allergies, drink green tea. Do you see all the health benefits you get when drinking green tea while keeping your body warm?  Green tea has more health benefits.

Because the flu is very contagious, be careful who are are in the accompany of, even if you are in a close setting such as an office, classroom or bus, find some way to avoid being close to someone who maybe suffering from the flu.  If you do not know who could infect you, make sure treat your body right and most likely when the flu is in the air, you most likely combat it.  Remember when we suggested that you dress warm, this is the very reason, if you dress warm, people who may have a cold in your presence may not transmit it to you.  Even if you dress warm, if you can politely move away from someone you suspect may be ill with the flu, do it, because no one likes being sick with the flu.
