British man, Brian Thomas who strangled his wife in his sleep while dreaming that she was an intruder walked freed this morning.   Brian Thomas, 59, strangled his wife Christine, 57, while they were on vacationing camper van in Wales.  Based on not taking his antidepressant medication, evidence proved it caused Mr. Thomas to have a nightmare.  Brian Thomas stopped taking his medication, because it was effecting their sex life.  Two months prior to the incident,  he decided to stop taking three separate drugs, including one to control his nightmares and finally they could start sleeping in the same bed, again.

Although, Brian Thomas claims he did not murder his wife, you cannot help but to think even if he was dreaming, did he have a desire to kill her and it came out while he was sleep? This case is such a twist, but if it was tried over here in America, do not think for one second Brian Thomas would have be set free.  In the United States, we do not believe stories like this are real.  The justice system would not have thrown out this case, because people just decide to stop taking medication to have good sex, you take Viagra.  However, it is understood, you may not be able take other medications with some antidepressants, but there are natural remedies.  Prosecutors would have found some way to put Brian Thomas under the jail, because a lie detector test would have been included in the trial, this we do not know.  Yes, Brian Thomas had a history of having vivid nightmares that caused his wife to sleep in another room, but-the question is, were prior nightmares similar to the last one, involving strangulation? What a way for Christine Thomas to die in the arms of her husband.  Although, she did not slumber in peace, hopefully, she can finally rest in peace.  I guess, the vow, “til death do us part” is not just phrase, it is indeed a vow.
