Although, John Walsh was already and educated man, a graduate of University of Buffalo, in New York, he and his wife, Reve still endured what a lot of ordinary people in society go through, a sudden tragedy.  John Walsh was already a business man who built high-end luxury hotels and after relocating to Florida life was just perfect for this American family, until his son Adam was gone.  Because of the Walsh family tragedy, there were two movies based on his disappearance, “Adam” and “Adam: His Song Continues.”  At the end of the movies, producers would show missing children and it was aired, nationwide.  Sixty-five missing children were found because of it.

Because tragedy struck the Walsh family in 1981, John Walsh proves how a mission to catch criminals empowered his own life.  Unfortunately, John Walsh may have never had his own show, America’s Most Wanted, if his own child had not been abducted.  Over 1,ooo criminals would have never been caught, if it was not for America’s Most Wanted.  Turning the worst out for good in your own life is a lesson you can learn from John Walsh, a man who grieved for his 6-year old son, Adam who was abducted at a shopping mall in 1981.  John Walsh remembers that day of grieving for his long lost son and thinking about a no doubt, disgusting pedophile who may have snatched his son, he got the idea to get criminals off the streets and help find missing children.  In his son, Adam’s memory President Bush signed “The Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act,” on the 25th anniversary of his murder.  Finally, in December, 2008, the Hollywood, Florida Police Department officially closed Adam’s case, naming the man who had always been the prime suspect, as Adam’s murderer.

Do you see how John Walsh refuse to allow tragedy to stop him from being a success? John Walsh may have been already successful, but it took this terrifying situation to make him even more successful and by coming out with two movies, getting President Bush to sign a new act in memory of Adam, and started America’s Most Wanted he is famous.  It is very sad that the disappearance of Adam caused him to get an idea to get criminals off the streets; however, everything turned out for the good and John and Reve Walsh can both say Adam’s disappearance was not in vain.  America’s Most Wanted is the reason why fugitives, criminals and missing kids are found and most cases are closed because of the show.
