Everyone thought that NFL legend Steve McNair had it bad when his affair was exposed to the world and his wife. (Though I am sure she knew about his affairs). I mean really now…. Steve McNair’s indiscretions literally went to the grave with him. Steve McNair’s life ending story is one that you only see in the movies.
Has there ever been a movie made to reflect this magnitude of sex and scandal? Someone tell us please.
This had to be one of the most tragic and most revealing sex scandals in the news today, next to the prolific former Detroit Mayor Kwame’ Kilpatrick’s: Sex, Lies and Text Messages’.
But I must beg to differ for a minute here. Here’s another news breaking story that may just go over the top of McNair’s public display of events. Here’s a man named Steve Phillips. He is ESPN’s baseball analyst. (What is it about the name “Steve” with these guys?)
Steve Phillips, 46, has admitted to an affair with Brooke Hundley, a 22 year old production assistant there at the ESPN‘s cable network. Apparently, the young assistant started calling and making phone calls to Phillips’ wife, Marni back in early August. She not only made calls to his wife but she boldly posted a letter on the family’s front door that revealed explicit and graphic details of the ousted love affair.
In the letter, the very young assistant has no regard or shame about telling private and disturbing details about her affair with Phillips.
Here are some of the inside details of this letter from Brooke to Marni:
- “… I work with Steve and he and I got into a pretty heated argument about the fact he hasn’t been honest with you about our relationship”
-”…we first slept together in St. Louis in his hotel suite )where she assured me I wouldn’t have to worry about getting pregnant since is vasectomy)..”
-”…We text all day when he’s at work…the texts have always been mostly about the sexual side of our relationship…”
-” I want you to meet me and I want to tell you anything you want to know, my cell number is….Steve has a big birthmark on his… right above his…..”
Read the entire letter posted by the NY Post.
Ok, now that’s enough said. She apparently wrote this letter to Steve’s wife after he broke off the affair.
On top of that, then former general manager of The New York Mets, Steve Phillips also admitted to having an affair with an employee back in 1998. I guess he didn’t learn his lesson when they sued him for sexual harassment and paid her off for an undisclosed amount of money. When will this guy learn that infidelity doesn’t pay, especially when you are public figure for a major sport network?
This story doesn’t end there. Its just getting heated. The wife, Marni Phillips called the police several days after the posting of the letter, and Hundley was found in her driveway! Brooke Hundley, only the coward she really is, tried to run off in her car while wrecking it and driving across the family’s lawn. Oh and she also posed as student of Phillips’ 16 year old and inquired about personal things about his parent’s through Facebook. What a lunatic!
Apparently, Steve has waived the right to press charges against Hundley though he claims he is very concerned with his family’s safety.
What more can be said about another one of America’s tales of (this time) “Sex, Lies and Explicit Letters”?
