Adam Goldstein known as DJ AM, had previously and honestly admitted to past addictions to crack cocaine, Ecstasy and other drugs.  He was found yesterday, Aug. 28 in his apartment in New York.  His friend called 911, then the  Paramedics rushed and arrived at DJ AM’s apartment.  They broke down the door and discovered him lying on his bed, dead.  DJ AM died accidentally from a lethal cocktail of prescription drugs and cocaine found in his bloodstream.  Medical Examiners found six pills in his stomach, a pill, OxyContin found in his throat and also a crack pipe with prescription was found near his bedside.

Last year, DJ AM had already had a brush with death.  Adam Goldstein was critically hurt in a plane crash that killed four people last September in Columbia, South Carolina. He was flying in a Learjet after a performance with Travis Barker, the drummer for the pop-punk band Blink-182 and hiss partner in the duo TRVSDJ-AM.  Barker and Goldstein were burned.  Adam Goldstein had to get skin graft surgery proceeded to perform,  a month later.  He dated actress-singer Mandy Moore and reality TV star Nicole Richie.
